Who Am I ?
Although, I am ethnically Indian, I was born and brought up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
I moved abroad to the United Kingdom at 17 to start my bachelor’s Journey. I did a 6-month foundation program at Birmingham City University International College and joined my bachelor’s in Media Production. I am in the final year of my degree and am eager to create.
Sometimes, I feel like I have undiagnosed ADHD. My brain is constantly filled with stuff I want to do and, if lucky, probably some assignment ideas.
I like to create based on experience and imagination. Experiences allow you to feel emotions and human connection, whereas imagination provokes thoughts and ideas. My motive isn’t just to create but to develop and inspire others as I do.
What Is EMP ?
EMP is Emil Philip. In high school, I created a brand name to categorise my work. As I progressed in university, I started using it almost like a stage name that gave my projects and experiments a backbone. In my final year of university, I can gladly say that EMP has become more than a brand name; it defines me as a person and gives meaning to my work and ethics.
